Request a similar style→Single jersey or French terry?
Specify the reverse surface as well as the face.
Single jersey
The plain knit used for T-shirts has rows of stitch crowns on the reverse.

French terry
Float loops on the reverse give a sweatshirt its loop-back interior.
Choosing against brushed fleece
For a warmth comparison, match the fibre content, yarns and finished GSM. Specify the same two-end or three-end construction for both swatches.
Loop-back French terry
An unbrushed back leaves the knitted surface inside the sweatshirt.

Brushed fleece
Brushing the interior loops gives fleece its raised back.
