What We Make

Fabric and yarn are product lines in their own right at Surajmal Shobhachand, not only inputs to a garment programme. Knits in single jersey, rib, pique and interlock; wovens from poplin through to jacquard; and ring-spun, open-end, combed and carded yarns across counts.

Audited compliance across GOTS, OEKO-TEX, BSCI and ISO 9001. First samples in 4 to 10 days; enquiries answered within 24 hours.

Buying fabric and buying a finished garment are different transactions with different risks. Fabric is bought to a specification and a tolerance, so shade continuity, width and shrinkage are agreed as numbers before the order rather than judged against a garment sample.

Common Questions

Do you supply fabric without a garment order?

Yes. Fabric and yarn are supplied as their own lines to mills and to brands running production elsewhere.

In what forms is fabric supplied?

Greige, dyed, printed or fully finished, depending on where in the chain you take it.

Which yarn types do you supply?

Ring-spun and open-end, combed and carded, across a range of counts. Ring-spun combed is finer and smoother; open-end suits heavier constructions.

How is shade continuity handled on a fabric order?

Shade, width and shrinkage are agreed as a specification with tolerances before the order, and lots are banded against that standard rather than judged against a garment sample.

Can you supply certified organic or recycled fabric?

Yes, including GOTS-certified organic, BCI cotton and recycled fibres, with the transaction documents that trace the fibre through the chain.
