China identification
Article 27 of the Product Quality Law requires Chinese product identification, including the product name, the producer name and address, and qualification evidence. GB/T 5296.4 governs the use instructions that sit alongside that duty.[1]
China childrenswear
Infant and children’s textile products carry the mandatory safety code GB 31701, which requires the applicable safety category to be identified. We fix that classification early because it drives fabric selection rather than artwork.[2]
South Korea marking
Ordinary adult apparel is a Safety Standards Compliance product under the Electrical Appliances and Consumer Products Safety Control Act, so no KC mark or confirmation number is affixed. The durable Korean-language label carries fibre composition by component, the manufacturer or importer, country of manufacture, a traceability identifier and care instructions.[3][4]
South Korea children
Children’s products run under the Special Act on the Safety Control of Children’s Products, covering ages 13 and under. Textile products under 36 months take the safety-confirmation route with product testing; from 36 months to 13 they take supplier conformity confirmation. Where cords or drawstrings are used, KS K 0941 applies.[5][6]
Taiwan durable marking
The Apparel Labeling Standards under the Commodity Labeling Act require origin, fibre and filling composition and care information to be durably marked on the garment. Size and the importer’s name, address and telephone number may sit on packaging or instructions instead.[7][8]
Taiwan care symbols
Care information uses the prescribed BSMI care-label graphics. Fibre and filling composition is declared in Chinese with the applicable weight percentages.[7]
Hong Kong claims
Hong Kong compels no general fibre, care, size or origin field on ordinary apparel. The Trade Descriptions Ordinance, Cap. 362, makes any claim that is printed a claim that must be true, and a supplied safety warning must be conspicuous in English and Chinese.[9]
Each destination variant is approved against its own national requirement before bulk. The sealed artwork, compliance record and inspection checks carry the approved specification into shipment.

Can one programme serve China, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong?
Yes, where each destination is named in the brief. Separate label, evidence and approval records are prepared, because these four do not share one apparel labelling scheme.
What must appear on a China-bound apparel label?
Article 27 of the Product Quality Law requires Chinese product identification, the producer name and address, and qualification evidence. The declared product standard for the garment is confirmed before fibre and care content is finalised.[1]
Does adult apparel need a KC mark in South Korea?
No. Ordinary adult apparel sits outside the KC tiers as a Safety Standards Compliance product, so no KC mark or confirmation number is affixed. What Korea checks is the durable Korean-language marking, and the label content is agreed during development.[3][4]
Does Taiwan require a sewn-in or printed label?
For most garments, origin, fibre composition and care information must be conspicuously and durably sewn, stamped, thermoprinted or printed on the garment. Size may instead appear on the garment, packaging or instructions. For infant wear, swimwear, underwear other than bras, accessories and reversible apparel without pockets, these fields may instead be conspicuously labelled by attachment, brochure or hanging tag.[7][8]
Are fibre and care labels mandatory in Hong Kong?
No general field is compelled for ordinary apparel. What the Trade Descriptions Ordinance does compel is accuracy: any claim printed on the garment must not be false or misleading, and a safety warning must be conspicuous in English and Chinese.[9]
