What We Make
Surajmal Shobhachand produces shorts in cotton twill, linen and linen blends, seersucker and denim, from flat-front chinos through to cargo and drawstring styles. Waistband construction carries the garment, so it is specified rather than inherited from the block.
Audited compliance across GOTS, OEKO-TEX, BSCI and ISO 9001. First samples in 4 to 10 days; enquiries answered within 24 hours.
A cargo pocket that stands away from the leg is a pattern decision, not a trim decision. Bellows depth, flap shape and bar-tack placement are set at development so the pocket holds its shape after washing instead of collapsing flat.
Common Questions
Which fabrics do you make shorts in?
Cotton twill and drill, linen and linen blends, seersucker, poplin and denim. Weight is chosen against the style rather than applied as a default.
What waistband constructions do you offer?
Flat front with a closed waistband, part-elasticated, and full elastic with a drawcord. The choice changes grading and is settled before the first fit sample.
Can you produce cargo and utility styles?
Yes. Bellows depth, flap shape and bar-tack placement are set at development so a pocket keeps its shape through washing.
Do you produce denim shorts alongside woven shorts?
Yes, including washed and finished denim. See our denim line for the wash and finishing range.
What lead times should we expect?
First samples typically within 4 to 10 days of an agreed brief. Bulk usually ships 35 to 90 days after sample approval, depending on construction, fabric and quantity.
