What This Is

We handle knitwear, woven garments and fabrics, including mixed-category and repeat seasonal ranges. Design, development, sampling, lab testing and quality control are in-house. Production runs across our audited network. Programmes run through India or Bangladesh; the production base is agreed at enquiry against the product, fabric, construction, quantity, certification and delivery brief. Minimums are set per style and confirmed at enquiry.

How It Works

Brief and feasibility

Send the tech pack, reference sample or product brief, quantities, destination country and delivery target. Within 24 hours, we return feasibility, indicative cost, the minimum per style and next steps.

Development and sampling

We develop the fabric, construction, trims, testing plan and destination label artwork against the agreed brief. First samples are typically sent in 4 to 10 days.

Approval before bulk

You approve the sealed sample, measurements, finish, physical labels and packing method. For a combined programme, each destination version is approved before production.

Production and handover

Bulk takes 35 to 90 days after approval, depending on construction and quantity. We provide inspection status, agreed test evidence and export documents. We confirm the shipping scope with the quotation.

Prepared For Both Destinations

Care, fibre and origin details checked on the garment.

A combined programme is possible, but the label is checked against each destination before bulk. We prepare the following controls and hand over the agreed evidence with the order.

Combined care artwork

We design legible English care instructions for both markets. Australia also permits ISO 3758:2012 symbols, but symbols alone do not cover New Zealand.

New Zealand garment fields

For most new clothing, we include the required fibre content and country of origin alongside the English care instructions.

Australian origin marking

We prepare an accurate English country-of-origin trade description. Fibre composition is added where your specification requires it.

Technical basis

Relevant material and garment evidence, including wash, shrinkage and colourfastness testing where needed, supports the care advice.

Approval and handover

Physical labels, measurements, finish and packing are approved before bulk, then checked inline and before shipment to your agreed AQL.

Enquiry reply

Established in 1968, Surajmal Shobhachand coordinates yarn, fabric and garments as one export brief. The approved destination labels, sealed sample and inspection record carry the agreed specification into bulk production across our audited network.

Applies Across Your Range

Send a tech pack, product photograph or reference sample. Include fabric and finish, quantities by style and colour, target delivery, the destination country or countries, and any testing or certification requirements. Include a target price if you want it assessed. We reply within 24 hours with feasibility, indicative cost, the minimum per style, open questions and the next development step.

Common Questions
Can one production programme serve Australia and New Zealand?

Yes. We plan the range together, then check the garment labels separately for Australia and New Zealand before bulk.

Can one care label work in both countries?

Yes. A combined label can use legible English instructions that satisfy both regimes. Symbols-only Australian artwork does not cover New Zealand.

What changes for garments sold in New Zealand?

New Zealand requires legible English care instructions and, for most new clothing, garment-level fibre content and country of origin. We include these in the artwork approval.

Is fibre content required on Australian clothing?

No. Australia does not impose a general federal mandatory fibre-content label for clothing. We include composition where your specification requires it.

What order sizes do you work with?

We work across a wide range, from small and emerging brands to the largest global retailers. Minimums are set per style and confirmed at enquiry.
