Which materials do you make bags in?
Cotton canvas and drill in a range of weights, plus jute and jute-cotton blends. Weight is chosen against the load the bag has to carry rather than by default.
What decoration can you run on a cotton bag?
Screen print, block print, discharge, all-over print, hand painting and embroidery. Each is approved on a physical sample before bulk.
How are handles and the base constructed?
Handle webbing weight, stitch type and bar-tack placement are set against the intended load. A gusseted or boxed base is specified where the bag has to stand rather than lie flat.
Can you produce to a certified organic or recycled cotton?
Yes. Surajmal Shobhachand runs GOTS-certified organic and recycled cotton where a programme requires it, with the accompanying transaction documents.
