Contract manufacturing is production to your specification. Its most common form is CMT, cut-make-trim: you supply or nominate the fabric and trims, and we cut, sew, trim, finish and pack to your sealed sample. You keep control of the materials; we carry the making and the quality. Sampling support, lab testing and inspection are in-house, and production runs across our audited network.

If you would sooner not carry the fabric risk, full-package (FOB) moves the sourcing to us and gives you one price for the finished garment.

The fabric leg is the part that most often slips. Consumption, wastage allowance and a materials delivery date are agreed in writing at order stage, so neither side is guessing later.
Supplied or nominated: the choice decides who chases the mill.
CMT is usually described as though there were only one way to run it. In practice there are two, and the one you pick determines where the fabric risk sits and who is on the phone when a delivery slips.
You supply
You already hold the fabric and send it to the unit. Quickest to start, and the materials date stays with you.
You nominate
You choose the mill and we buy and call it off on your behalf at your agreed price. You keep the relationship; we carry the chasing.
Incoming checks
Materials are inspected on receipt for width, weight, shade and visible defects before anything is cut.
Buffer stock
Consumption and a wastage allowance are agreed up front. A modest buffer above calculated consumption is what prevents a short-shipment at the end of a run.

Your fabric readiness is the real pacing variable. Once materials are in and inspected, CMT is the quickest of the three models; while they are still at the mill, nothing downstream can start.
Under CMT you own the material compliance and we own the process. Social and quality auditing across our network applies regardless of who bought the fabric, and your incoming materials are checked before cutting begins.

Where you would rather we sourced the materials too, the same programme runs as full-package (FOB). If the finished goods carry your own labels and packaging, it runs as private label.
What does CMT cover?
Cutting, making, trimming, finishing, packing, inline and final inspection, and export documentation. It does not cover the fabric and trims or their cost, which is what separates it from full-package.
Do I have to ship my own fabric, or can you buy it on my behalf?
Either. You can send fabric you already hold, or nominate a mill and we will buy and call it off on your behalf at your agreed price. The second keeps your mill relationship while moving the chasing to us.
What happens if there is not enough fabric to complete the order?
We agree consumption and a wastage allowance before cutting, which is why we ask for a modest buffer above calculated consumption. If material still falls short we stop and tell you. Cutting into the allowance only moves the shortfall to the end of the run.
How is CMT priced differently from FOB?
A CMT quote covers only the making, so it will always read lower than an FOB quote for the same garment. That is a narrower scope, not a better price. Compare a CMT charge plus your own fabric cost against an FOB price to see the real difference.
What checks happen on fabric we supply?
Incoming inspection on receipt for width, weight, shade and visible defects, before anything is cut. Anything outside specification is flagged to you before production starts.
Who is responsible if the fabric turns out to be faulty?
Material faults stay with the fabric supplier, whether that is you or a mill you nominated. Our job is to catch them at incoming inspection, before anything is cut, and to stop and report instead of working around them.
Can you cut and sew from patterns we already have?
Yes. We can work from your patterns and graded specs, or make patterns and markers from your tech-pack.
What lead time should we expect once the fabric is in?
Faster than full-package, because sourcing is off the critical path. The schedule is quoted from materials being received and inspected, not from order date, so a slipped fabric delivery moves the ship date with it.
How is contract manufacturing different from full-package?
Under full-package we source the materials and quote the finished garment. Under contract or CMT you supply or nominate them and we quote the making. Everything downstream, quality, finishing, inspection and export, is the same.
What order sizes do you take?
We work across a wide range, from small and emerging brands to the largest global retailers. CMT minimums come from line set-up efficiency, not from fabric minimums, and are confirmed at enquiry.
What quality checks happen before shipment?
Incoming material inspection, inline checks through the run, and a final inspection to your agreed AQL, all measured against the sealed sample.
