- State the knit or weave and yarn count. Construction choices include single jersey, interlock, loopback and poplin.
- Cotton quality
- Specify any staple requirement. Long-staple and extra-long-staple cotton qualities, including Supima and Giza, are supplied on request.
- Finished GSM and width
- Give the finished weight in g/m² and the usable width for fabric orders.
- Colour and finish
- Include a colour reference and the required finish.
- Care and test limits
- State the wash and drying conditions, permitted dimensional change and test acceptance limits.

- Give garment quantities by style and size, or the metres of fabric required.

Does 100% cotton mean organic cotton?
No. “100% cotton” describes the fibre composition; it does not establish organic status.
Can we order organic cotton fabric without garments?
Yes. Fabric-only orders can be quoted from the construction, finished GSM and metres required.
What is organic cotton knit fabric?
It is knitted fabric made with organic cotton. Single jersey is a knit construction; specify the knit separately from the organic requirement.
What should we specify for an organic cotton summer range?
Specify the construction and finished GSM for each style, with a fabric reference for the required hand. Include the finish in the brief.
Can you source 520 or 540 GSM organic cotton hoodie fabric?
Yes, to your brief. State the target GSM, knit construction and back finish, with the organic standard required.
