Single jersey
Single jersey is a single knit. Its reverse differs from its face, and its cut edges tend to curl.

Plain interlock
Both sides have the same appearance, and its cut edges lie flat.
State the construction in the garment brief, with a fabric reference.

Common questions about interlock
Is interlock always cotton?
No. Interlock can be knitted in polyester, including jacquard qualities. Specify cotton or polyester and each fibre percentage in the brief.
What GSM should I specify for interlock?
Use the finished weight of the selected swatch, with a tolerance. We source plain interlock qualities to your garment brief.
Do you supply interlock babywear?
Yes. Send the babywear size chart and label details, with the care conditions and required fabric tests.
Can you supply interlock for a summer or winter range?
Yes. We select qualities for your seasonal range. State the season and the thermal or air-permeability requirements with the garment brief.
How does interlock differ from piqué for a polo?
Single piqué has a visible micro-mesh texture and uses a single-knit construction. Add a fabric reference to the polo brief.
How do I get an interlock fabric price?
Send the fabric reference, weight, metres and target price for a fabric quotation. For a garment quotation, include a garment reference or tech pack and quantity.
Can I buy interlock fabric on its own?
Yes, by the metre. Specify the quality and usable width for the fabric order.
