The pattern is printed on fabric with foil adhesive. Foil paper is then pressed onto it with a hot steel roller.

- Artwork link
- Paste an artwork link in the enquiry, or email the files to info@surajmal.com.
- Foil areas
- Mark every area that takes foil. Identify any areas that take printed ink separately.
- Finish reference
- Give the foil shade and a physical finish reference to match.
- Garment and sizes
- State the style and size range.
- Fabric reference and GSM
- Give the fibre composition, construction and weight, and a fabric reference. See cotton and single jersey for base fabrics.
- Garment colour
- Include a colour reference for the base garment.
- Print dimensions
- Give the finished width and height for each garment size.
- Placement
- Measure the print position from a fixed point, such as the neckline or centre front.
- Quantities
- Give the quantity by design, colourway and size.
- Washing, drying and pressing
- State the intended care and required test results.

How is care agreed for a foil-printed garment?
Test the garment sample to the required care before agreeing the care instruction. Assess the metallic appearance and motif coverage after the agreed care test.
Can you supply custom foil-printed T-shirts for our brand?
Yes. We make foil-printed T-shirts to your design and label. Mark the print as a placed motif or an all-over repeat.
Can you supply holographic foil prints?
Yes. Holographic finishes are available to your brief, with a garment sample in the specified finish.
How long does a foil-printed sample take?
Allow 4 to 10 days for the first garment sample from agreed artwork. Bulk takes from 35 days after sample approval.
