Puff printing uses a compound that swells when heated, raising the design above the fabric.

## Specifying puff or high-density printing on a tech pack

- **Artwork link**: Link to the artwork, preferably a vector file.

- **Print colours**: Give a reference for each print colour.

- **Finish**: Specify puff or high-density printing.

- **Height and hand reference**: Include a finish reference and state the intended height and hand.

- **Print dimensions**: Give the finished width and height in millimetres.

- **Placement by size**: Mark the print position on the garment drawing for each size range.

- **Garment and fabric**: State the garment, fabric composition, construction and GSM. See [single jersey](/materials/single-jersey), [fleece](/materials/fleece) or [French terry](/materials/french-terry) for base fabrics.

- **Garment colour**: Include the garment colour reference.

- **Quantity per colourway**: Give the garment quantities by size and colourway.
