Surajmal Shobhachand produces t-shirts as [full-package programmes](/services/full-package), from yarn selection through knitting, dyeing, cut, print and pack. Jersey moves as it is finished, so weight, width and shrinkage are settled on the sealed sample before bulk is committed.

The tee that fails does so at the neck rib and after the third wash. Rib composition and tension are approved against a wash-tested sample, and bulk is measured against it rather than against first pieces off the line.

## Common Questions

### What fabric weights do you make t-shirts in?

Single jersey commonly runs 140 to 220 GSM for tees, with heavier 220 to 320 GSM constructions for oversized and boxy fits. Surajmal Shobhachand knits to the weight your specification calls for rather than to a stock range.

### Which print and decoration methods can you run on a tee?

Screen print in plastisol or water-based ink, discharge, puff, high-density, foil and flock, alongside embroidery and applique. Each is approved on a physical sample before bulk, because hand and stretch differ by method.

### How do you control shrinkage and spirality?

Fabric is wash-tested at the sampling stage and the pattern is compensated for the measured shrinkage. Spirality is controlled through knitting and finishing, and checked on the sealed sample.

### Can you produce combed or organic cotton tees?

Yes. Surajmal Shobhachand runs combed, ring-spun, GOTS-certified organic and BCI cotton, with the certificates and transaction documents that trace the fibre back through the chain.

### What lead times should we expect on a t-shirt programme?

First samples typically within 4 to 10 days of an agreed brief. Bulk usually ships 35 to 90 days after sample approval, depending on construction, fabric and quantity.
