## What We Make

Surajmal Shobhachand makes polos in pique, jersey and interlock, with collars knitted to shape rather than cut from body fabric. A polo is judged at the collar: it has to sit flat off the hanger and still sit flat after twenty washes.

Audited compliance across GOTS, OEKO-TEX, BSCI and ISO 9001. First samples in 4 to 10 days; enquiries answered within 24 hours.

Pique Jersey Interlock Knitted collar Tipping Yarn-dyed stripe Hidden placket Performance

Tipping and yarn-dyed stripes are built at the yarn stage, not printed on afterwards. That is why the stripe holds its colour through the life of the garment, and why placement has to be planned against the placket and the collar before knitting begins.

## Common Questions

### Which knit constructions do you use for polos?

Pique for the classic textured surface, jersey for a smoother lighter hand, and interlock where a heavier, more stable double-knit is wanted. Performance polos run in technical interlock with moisture-management finishes.

### Are collars knitted to shape or cut from body fabric?

Knitted to shape. A collar knitted to size holds its edge and returns flat after washing, which is the difference a buyer notices first and the point where a cheaper polo fails.

### Can you produce tipping and yarn-dyed stripes?

Yes. Tipping at the collar and cuff edge, and engineered yarn-dyed stripes, are built at the yarn stage rather than printed, so the colour holds. Placement against the placket and collar is planned before knitting.

### What decoration can go on a polo?

Flat and tonal embroidery at the chest or sleeve, screen and transfer print, and woven or printed labels. Embroidery is the usual choice because it survives the wash cycle a polo is expected to take.

### What lead times should we expect?

First samples typically within 4 to 10 days of an agreed brief. Bulk usually ships 35 to 90 days after sample approval, depending on construction, fabric and quantity.
