A tote fails at the handle join before the cloth wears. Stitch type, bar-tack placement and webbing weight are set against the intended load, and a gusseted base is specified where the bag has to stand.

### Which materials do you make bags in?

Cotton canvas and drill in a range of weights, plus jute and jute-cotton blends. Weight is chosen against the load the bag has to carry rather than by default.

### What decoration can you run on a cotton bag?

Screen print, block print, discharge, all-over print, hand painting and embroidery. Each is approved on a physical sample before bulk.

### How are handles and the base constructed?

Handle webbing weight, stitch type and bar-tack placement are set against the intended load. A gusseted or boxed base is specified where the bag has to stand rather than lie flat.
