Surajmal Shobhachand produces cotton, canvas and jute bags alongside its apparel programmes, together with a handicrafts range made with partner artisans. Bags run on the same sampling and inspection discipline as garments.

A promotional bag is judged on the join, not the cloth. Handle webbing weight, stitch type and bar-tack placement are specified against the load the bag is expected to carry, and a gusseted base is added where it has to stand rather than lie flat.
