Mark which areas remain sheer and which are lined, or specify an unlined garment. - **Lining reference**: Give the lining fabric reference and its composition where lining is specified. - **Fibre content**: State each fibre and its percentage. - **Weight (GSM)**: Give the target grams per square metre or a fabric reference. Colourfastness to rubbing[\[5\]](https://www.iso.org/standard/65207.html "Source 5: iso.org: /standard/65207.html") ISO 105-X12 Colour transfer to dry and wet rubbing cloths. ## Common questions about voile ### Is voile the same as cotton? No. Cotton names the fibre; voile names the cloth. ### What types of cotton voile do you supply? We supply plain and printed cotton voile. Other fibre blends are sourced to your brief. ### Can we order voile fabric without finished garments? Yes. We supply voile fabric on its own, by the metre, to garment makers. ### Is voile the same as chiffon or organza? No. Chiffon is a very lightweight, sheer plain weave made from fine, tightly twisted yarns. Organza uses filament yarns. ### Can voile carry chikankari embroidery? Yes.
