What This Is

We handle knitwear, woven garments, denim, workwear and fabrics for retail and private-label programmes in South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Egypt and Morocco, including destination label sets and the conformity evidence that has to exist before the goods ship. Programmes run through [India](/services/sourcing-india) or [Bangladesh](/services/sourcing-bangladesh); the production base is agreed at enquiry against the product, fabric, quantity, certification and delivery brief. Minimums are set per style and confirmed at enquiry.

How It Works

## 01. Brief and feasibility

Send the tech pack, reference sample or product brief, with quantities, the destination countries and delivery target. Within 24 hours, we return feasibility, indicative cost, the minimum per style and the conformity questions to settle before development.

## 02. Development and sampling

We develop the fabric, construction, trims, testing plan and destination label sets against the agreed brief. First samples are typically sent in 4 to 10 days.

## 03. Approval before bulk

You approve the sealed sample, measurements, physical label and packing method. For Kenya, Nigeria and Egypt, we confirm the applicable registration, inspection and conformity route with the importer against the approved specification before booking shipment.

## 04. Production and handover

Bulk takes 35 to 90 days after approval, depending on construction and quantity. We provide progress and inspection status, then assemble the agreed conformity, test and export documents. We confirm the shipping scope with the quotation.

Prepared For Africa

## Conformity preparation starts with the approved specification.

We plan the registration, testing and inspection work for each destination during development, then align the shipment file with the approved garment.

### Kenya PVoC

Garments subject to PVoC must meet the applicable Kenya Standard or approved specification and carry a Certificate of Conformity before shipment. For imported products intended for local sale, importers must purchase Import Standardization Mark stickers directly from KEBS and apply using copies of the Certificate of Conformity, Import Declaration Form and Customs Entry.[\[1\]](https://inspection.kebs.go.ke/pvoc-services/ "Source 1: inspection.kebs.go.ke: pvoc services") [\[2\]](https://kebs.org/marks-of-quality/ "Source 2: kebs.org: /marks-of-quality/")

### Nigeria SONCAP

SONCAP-regulated imports are required to undergo verification and testing in the country of supply. A SONCAP Certificate is a mandatory customs-clearance document. We confirm the applicable care-labelling and label-position requirements with SON before artwork approval.[\[3\]](https://son.gov.ng/soncapservice/ "Source 3: son.gov.ng: /soncapservice/")

### Egypt GOEIC

For covered goods, GOEIC registration applies to the producing factory or the trademark-owning company or its distribution centre. We confirm the registration and inspection route with the importer and approve the Arabic garment label during manufacture.[\[4\]](https://www.goeic.gov.eg/en/pages/default/view/id/603/m/6-166 "Source 4: goeic.gov.eg: /en/pages/default/view/id/603/m/6-166") [\[5\]](https://www.goeic.gov.eg/upload/online/2016/03/documents/files/en/1484.pdf "Source 5: goeic.gov.eg: /upload/online/2016/03/documents/files/en/1484.pdf")

### South Africa labels

For the goods covered by Regulation 6, subject to its exemptions, the origin trade description must be conspicuous and easily legible. Fibre content and care labelling follow the national standards incorporated through Government Notice 2410 of 2000.[\[6\]](https://www.gov.za/sites/default/files/gcis_document/201409/34180rg9515gon293.pdf "Source 6: gov.za: /sites/default/files/gcis_document/201409/34180rg9515gon293.pdf")

### Morocco standard

NM 09.0.000:2025 is compulsory for textile and clothing products, covering requirements, test methods and labelling, and consumer information must appear in Arabic at minimum. Ordinary apparel is outside the Cم conformity-marking list but remains subject to market-surveillance controls.[\[7\]](https://www.sgg.gov.ma/BO/FR/2873/2025/BO_7440_Fr.pdf "Source 7: sgg.gov.ma: /BO/FR/2873/2025/BO_7440_Fr.pdf")

Common Questions

When should Kenya PVoC verification begin? +

At sample approval, before bulk is committed. Verification needs a stable product that matches the construction, fibre composition and finish of the goods that will ship.[\[1\]](https://inspection.kebs.go.ke/pvoc-services/ "Source 1: inspection.kebs.go.ke: pvoc services")

Does a Nigeria-bound shipment need SONCAP before customs clearance? +

For regulated imports, verification and testing produce the SONCAP Certificate that accompanies the shipment for clearance. A Non-Conformity Report prevents normal clearance, and a default charge can apply where the process was not completed before shipment.[\[3\]](https://son.gov.ng/soncapservice/ "Source 3: son.gov.ng: /soncapservice/")

Can Arabic labelling for Egypt be corrected after arrival? +

For ready-made clothing covered by Article 102(D) of the import regulations, the woven Arabic label is attached during manufacture and identifies the material, country of origin and importer. We approve it before bulk; the provision has exceptions for socks and specified medical and industrial-safety imports.[\[8\]](https://www.wipo.int/wipolex/en/legislation/details/7412 "Source 8: wipo.int: /wipolex/en/legislation/details/7412")

What does South Africa require for origin marking? +

Regulation 6 requires a conspicuous, easily legible origin trade description on covered goods, subject to its exemptions. It does not itself prescribe a permanent English label. We agree the label method alongside the applicable fibre and care standards.[\[6\]](https://www.gov.za/sites/default/files/gcis_document/201409/34180rg9515gon293.pdf "Source 6: gov.za: /sites/default/files/gcis_document/201409/34180rg9515gon293.pdf")

Does Morocco require the Cم mark on ordinary apparel? +

No. The Cم marking list covers low-voltage electrical goods, electromagnetic-compatibility equipment and toys. Apparel is instead covered by the mandatory textile standard and the Arabic information requirement.[\[7\]](https://www.sgg.gov.ma/BO/FR/2873/2025/BO_7440_Fr.pdf "Source 7: sgg.gov.ma: /BO/FR/2873/2025/BO_7440_Fr.pdf")

What order sizes do you work with? +

We work across a wide range, from small and emerging brands to the largest global retailers. Minimums are set per style and confirmed at enquiry.
