Regulation 25/2021 requires the material type or composition and a care label for the listed finished-clothing categories. Its annex identifies those fields, but does not prescribe a fibre-percentage tolerance, percentage format or care-symbol standard there. Prepare the composition and care copy from the final specification, then check any separately applicable requirements for the product. ## What should be checked for baby clothing in Indonesia? For a baby garment that falls within an annex category, start with the same Bahasa Indonesia label fields and placement rules as for other listed finished clothing. Regulation 25/2021 is a labelling instrument, so any separate product-safety or conformity requirements should be checked for the particular garment before production is released. Before label purchase orders are released, send the relevant producer, importer or trader identity and address, approved Bahasa Indonesia copy, final composition, care instructions, origin, size range and selected placement options in one version-controlled approval pack. Its annex does not prescribe a care-symbol standard, so check any separate product requirements when approving the care copy. ## The Indonesia label judgement An Indonesia-bound apparel label is a Bahasa Indonesia field-completion task for the category listed in the annex. The fields include product name, brand, material type or composition, identity and address, size, care, country of manufacture and, for packages containing more than one item, quantity. The permitted placement varies by field: do not assume that every field belongs on the garment itself. Confirm the category, Indonesian copy and selected placement options before development, and assess any separate product-specific requirements in parallel. ## How the annex actually sets the fields The annex is the operative part, and it is organised per product line rather than as one list for all goods. Each line names the goods, describes them, sets out the label items that apply to that line, and then gives a code for how the label may be applied to the product and to the packaging. One or the other, decided by where the goods are made Negara Pembuat, or Made in The country of manufacture, which may be given in the Indonesian form or as the English phrase The application codes are the part most often missed at sampling, because they decide the trim rather than the artwork: Code Method a Embossed b Printed c Attached intact Read the codes in the annex column by column. The annex gives one set of codes for the product itself and another for the packaging, so a line can permit a method on the pack that it does not permit on the product. Confirm the applicable line before the trim is specified, since an embossed mark and a sewn label are different production decisions with different lead times.
